What is coaching?
The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work, and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach’s responsibility is to:
• Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
• Encourage client self-discovery
• Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
• Hold the client responsible and accountable

To understand the Co-active coaching model that is part of Gabriela’s coaching practice, please watch the CTI Co-Founder, Henry Kimsey-House talk about the power of Co-active coaching (3:30 min. video):

Gabriela’s perspective on coaching: It creates a safe “environment” where the client could discover the power within, see his life from different perspectives, get empowered and motivated to take the right decisions and actions that will bring more happiness and success into his life. To get there, the coach asks powerful questions, challenges the client to overcome his limiting beliefs, and to let go of negative emotions.
In Systems Coaching (group, organization, family, partnership, etc.), the “client” is the system itself, not the individuals (members) that form the system. The coach helps the individuals to better understand what’s happening in the system, the different roles and relationships formed, in order to become more creative and motivated to take the actions that will move the system to the next level.

What is Organisation and Relationships System Coaching (ORSC)?

Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) is an integrated and robust coaching model based on Relationship Systems Intelligence™. Beyond Emotional Intelligence (relationship with oneself) and Social Intelligence (relationship with other) is the realm of Relationship Systems Intelligence where one’s focus shifts to the relationship with the group, team or system. This approach creates sustainable and resilient teams and families.
ORSC is based on Systems Theory, Process Work, Family Systems Therapy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Quantum Physics, Co-Active Coaching™, and Taoism. At its core is the study of Relationship Systems Intelligence.
ORSC training is provided by CRR Global, and it is an ICF Accredited Coach Training Program.

What is photo-coaching?
Gabriela has created the photo-coaching albums, based on her own photography and powerful coaching questions. Each album contains around 38 colored cards with meaningful photographs and questions that invite you to introspection, and open up a less explored world: YOUR inner world. The albums helps you view situations from new perspectives, challenges your thinking and are an invitation to see the life from a totally different point of view. By using them often, you can get answers to questions that bother you, become more focused and motivated.

What courses did you take to become a coach?
Gabriela Casineanu studied professional coaching at the Coaching Training Institute (CTI) (Co-active Coaching) and the Center for Right Relationships (CRR) (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching). Both coaching schools have a great reputation in United States and around the world, and are accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Gabriela became an Accredited Certified Coach with ICF in 2008 and is practicing coaching since 2007.
She continually improved her coaching skills since, learning new methods and techniques: Body-Centered Coaching (Marlena Field), Harmonic Wealth Coaching (James Ray International and CoachVille), etc.

Is coaching addictive?
During a coaching relationship (coach-client), the client is developing more empowering and creative ways of dealing with the situations from his own life. Gradually, the client discovers how he can be more resourceful, how to tap into his own creativity and to create the life he wants (by acting, not reacting to life circumstances). He can stop the coaching process anytime, or he can use coaching whenever he needs a sounding board or a different perspective.

What should I expect from an one-on-one coaching session?
Each coaching session is different. Usually, a coaching session with Gabriela takes 30 min.
During the first few minutes, the client presents the topic to be discussed, and what he would like to get by the end of the session. Then, Gabriela takes over using different coaching methods and techniques, to help the client discover new things about himself and new perspectives on the specified topic. Based on his experience and insights revealed during the session, the clients will decide at the end of the session what actions he would like to take regarding the topic discussed.
By accomplishing these actions between the coaching sessions, the client moves forward toward achieving his goals and dreams.

What should I expect from your workshop(s)?
No one is the same: we all have different personalities, backgrounds, and goals. We all face different challenges. Gabriela’s workshops are very interactive and participative. She encourages the participants to play full on, and to talk about their own situation and goals. This way, they will grab the most out of the workshop, and they can apply the learning right away.
Most of Gabriela’s workshops are experiential as well. The participants are active players in the coaching exercises suggested – so they can draw their own conclusions based on their specific situations.
Did I mention that the atmosphere in her workshops is very relaxed, and even fun? 🙂
If you would you like to learn in such environment, go to Workshops page to see what workshops she delivers.
Gabriela designs and delivers her own workshops, based on the coaching concepts she learned and applied into her life. Her own challenges (divorce, single parent, immigration, career change, starting a business) and background (Engineering, IT, Quality Assurance, Mentoring, MBA) helps her to better understand people’s challenges, on both personal and professional level.

Drop her a line if you are interested in some of her workshops, or if you would like a customized one. You can even suggest the topic!

What should we expect from a system coaching session?
A system coaching session is focused on improving the relationships between the system members, in order to move forward toward a common goal. A system coaching session could take one hour and a half or more, depending on the number of members and the system’s objectives for that session. Sometimes the topic could not be covered in only one session, and further sessions are required. Usually, the process generates many ideas and the system is called upon setting priorities and implementing the ideas that are considered more beneficial.

Why do you call yourself a Thoughts Designer?
Sometimes, Gabriela designs clothes for herself. Looking at one of them, Ruxandra Dicu (a coaching client) said: “Looks like your passion defines you as a designer: you design clothes, but you also design ideas and try to follow and/or establish new fashion trends in the field of thoughts. Some sensitive fabric you are working with!”
Ruxandra’s words inspired Gabriela to call herself a Thoughts Designer, thinking of the new thoughts and insights her clients find during the coaching sessions.

TOP

Is it a one time coaching session or a contract on a longer period of time?
Gabriela recommends at least a three months coaching contract for individuals, to assess their needs and see results from coaching.
She is also available for one time coaching sessions, when people require more clarity on specific topics or in taking the right decisions.
Systems coaching varies based on the objectives and the system’s members. It could be anything from one session, to a group of sessions or on an ongoing basis. A systems coaching session is longer than an individual session (at least 1.5 hours).

Why should I ask for coaching?! I’m OK where I am.
It’s really great to be OK with where you are! Being grateful is a powerful force!
But… there’s always room for more, isn’t it?! 🙂 If you’d like to move forward faster, and be even more happy and successful, then coaching could help you.
Coaching could help even if you are confused about where you are or what you want in your life. That is how Gabriela discovered her passion (coaching) and the motivation to continue the growth of her coaching business … by applying the coaching concepts to her own life!

How can you help me?

Depending on your own situation and the topics you bring to each coaching session, Gabriela will apply specific coaching techniques to help you get to where you want. She assists you gently along this process, helps you get unstuck, identify/ remove the limiting beliefs and emotions that act like roadblocks on your path.

When should I ask for a coaching session?
Great question! 🙂 Whenever you feel open to work with a coach. These are a few examples:
– achieve your dream faster
– obtain more clarity about your life
– improve your relationship(s)
– increase your creativity (with your life too!)
– understand how to make the best decisions for you
– find your passion
– get motivated
– increase your impact on the world
Keep in mind that the best coaching results are achieved when you are open to discover new perspectives, are willing to learn and are committed to take the actions you chose at the end of each coaching session.
